Heritage Walk Titled: Mehrauli Archaeological Park on 21st May 2011
SRDC is conducting the Heritage Walk in Mehrauli Archaeological Park on 21st May 2011.
The Mehrauli landscape in Delhi is one of the oldest lived area of the city. Spectacular monuments and buildings index and catalogue the lived history of different communities in different times. As one of the oldest lived areas of Delhi the space reverberates with the presence of Sufis to opulent decadent English officers, from Lodi to Mughals from rich contemporary citizens to slum dwellers.

Time of meeting: from 8:15 to 9:30 am.
Meeting point: Outside the Flower Market on MG Road opposite
Ahmisa Sthal just beyond Crescent Mall.
The Heritage Walk in Mehrauli Archaeological Park on 21st May 2011 will cover the Stepwell of masons, the tomb summer house of British resident Metcalfe and the Tomb and Mosque of the fiery Sufi Saint called Jamali Kamali.
