Project Aim

Conservation is aimed to preserve the historical past for the present and future generations. It is essential that the act of conservation should prolong the life of the Heritage components and establish relevance with the present scenario. While conserving a structure and site, it is essential to adhere to the principles laid down by various international Charters, Declarations and Documents.

The project aims to establish Contemporary Relevance of the Heritage through the conservation of the listed heritage monuments and precincts under SRDC and to transform the listed monuments from Built Heritage to Cultural Heritage.
